GTALAW reopened its newly updated law
office after almost two months of renovation. Old desktop computers
with CRT type monitors are now replaced with Centrino powered
laptops and LCD flatscreen monitors thereby reducing office
clutters. Data handling and legal research are also digitized which
totally replaced bulky copies of SCRA and other law books. A
wireless internet with broadband speed is also installed in the new
office which is available free of use to its clients. Clients
of the Firm can also access their files virtually anywhere 24/7
with the newly enhanced
law firm
extranet.

December 7, 2005 _____________________________________________________________ GTALAW Managing Partner Alexander Llanes Acain, Jr. recently went to Mumbai, India to assist in finalizing the Joint Venture Agreement among an Indian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company, a Swiss Pharmaceutical Company and a Philippine Pharmaceutical Company to distribute branded Medicines in the Philippine market. "The Joint Venture agreement aims to lower down the high cost of medicines in the Philippine market by offering an affordable and high quality medicines to the Filipino people, this according to Mr. Shashikant A. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of Plethico Pharmaceuticals Limited. The Philippine market is dominated by existing multi-national pharmaceutical companies which are currently selling medicines at a very high cost.

The Labor Dispute started when Union President Jonel Mayordumo was dismissed by management for reasons of dishonesty and loss of trust and confidence. The Samahan ng Manggawa sa JR&R - FSM (February Six Movement) is the bargaining agent of JR&R employees. GTALaw is representing JR&R in the Labor Dispute.

September 16, 2004 _____________________________________________________________ A Criminal Information for Estafa was filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Mandaluyong at the Regional Trial Court of Mandaluyong City against Maria Conception Endozo, a former employee of Toyota Shaw, Inc. Mandaluyong. The Criminal Information emanated from a Complaint-Affidavit for Estafa which was filed by Toyota Shaw, Inc. Mandaluyong against Ms. Endozo in July 2004. The Criminal Information indicted Ms. Endozo for Estafa under Section 315 of the Revised Penal Code for diverting insurance premium payments from Toyota customers to her own personal use. GTALaw assisted Toyota Shaw, Inc. - Mandaluyong in filing the Affidavit-Complaint.

June 17, 2004 _____________________________________________________________ GTALaw assisted its client Toyota Shaw Ortigas in filing a criminal complaint for Estafa and Qualified Theft at the Prosecutor's Office of Pasig City for the unlawful taking of its three brand new Toyota motor vehicles on June 08, 2004. Named in the Complaint-Affidavit are Geraldine Tebelin a.ka. Geraldine Lorenzo, a.k.a. Geraldine Yuson, a certain lawyer Jose Allan Tebelin and employees of Toyota Shaw Ortigas who authorized the release of the three vehicles. The Complaint-Affidavit alleged that the Tebelins came to the showroom of Toyota Shaw Ortigas in Pasig City and made an outright purchase of three Toyota vehicles. A personal check from AsiaTrust Bank Antipolo Branch in the amount P2,153,600.00 was used by the Tebelins in the transaction. The Tebelins allegedly conspired with the employees of Toyota Shaw Ortigas and secured the release of three motor vehicles from its showroom in Pasig City even before the check was cleared by AsiaTrust. The policy of Toyota Shaw Ortigas is very clear that check payments should undergo bank clearing before releasing the vehicles. The check bounced for reason Account Closed.
